The story of Chandler House begins in the lush mountains of Southern Oregon.
A place Jim spent much of his time as a boy growing a deep appreciation for the beauty of nature.
It was a lifelong passion for art mixed with Jim’s love of nature that inspired the creation of these unique, one of a kind, hand made log furniture pieces. Jim lets the natural shape and unique characteristic of each log inspire him.
Madrone and Manzanita logs become the canvas for the intricate carvings which Jim turns in to functional pieces of art. As the vision and purpose of each piece begins to unfold, the highlights of the wood are brought out by the meticulous staining process. The finished piece of art is hand signed by the artist demonstrating that artwork was no accident, intentionally selected, created for a purpose and designed with a plan. Each work of art is a “work of the heart”.
“Even the greatest artist is at best a plagiarist.” Jim says with a grin,” I am inspired by all I see around me, by the original artist, God.”

Just as Jim hand selects, shapes and presents each piece of art, the same was done for each one of us by our Heavenly Father. We are fearfully and wonderfully made declares the Bible. No two are created alike.
Like the art, you were no accident. Intentionally selected, created for a purpose and designed with a plan.
Jesus Christ willingly died on a tree, sacrificed for the sins of the world, and was raised from the dead by God; it is His act of love that has given my life meaning. Simply by receiving the free gift of His sacrifice do we see His purpose for us begin to unfold in our lives.
